A Tranquil Villa Where the Stream Sings and Silence Surrounds

A crystal-clear stream flowing through lush greenery

Tucked away in the serene highlands of Kitakaruizawa, Noël Kitakaruizawa Seiryu is a secluded villa embraced by nature. Located at a higher altitude than Tokyo, the temperature here is about 10°C cooler, offering refreshing breezes even in the height of summer. At night, the sky is blanketed with countless stars.

The gentle murmur of the stream, birdsong, and the rustling of leaves in the wind gradually ease your mind, wrapping you in a sense of having this vast natural world all to yourself. Step away from the noise of daily life, and spend time reconnecting with sensations you may have forgotten—an experience of true renewal.

Our accommodation, surrounded by the lush forests of Kitakaruizawa, is located about a 40-minute drive from Karuizawa Station.

It’s an ideal place for those who wish to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and spend quiet, relaxing time in nature.
Spending a leisurely moment with a book in hand, surrounded by trees, is a true luxury.
The surrounding area offers plenty of hiking trails, such as Mount Koasama and Mount Asamakakushi, where you can enjoy walking while taking in the beauty of nature.
In the Karuizawa area, you can also enjoy unique cafés, restaurants, and local culture.
Here, a stay awaits where you can forget your daily routine and truly refresh your mind and body.

Experience

Seiryu

The Natural Cold Bath That Brings Deep Relaxation and Invigorating Refreshment

Right beside our accommodation flows a crystal-clear mountain stream, as still and pure as a mirror. Even in summer, the water stays around 15°C, clean enough for yamame and iwana trout to swim. Its brisk coolness offers the ultimate refreshment after a sauna session—touching your skin, it brings a sensation so vivid it feels as if your body is being renewed. Children can safely play in the shallow parts, while adults can fully immerse themselves in the power of untouched nature.

"Clear mountain stream" is called "清流 (seiryu)" in Japanese.

After the sauna, immerse yourself in the 15°C clear stream—submerging up to your neck in the natural chill will guide you into a state of ultimate serenity, as if embraced by the blue sky and the forest.

To finish, unwind even further in a barrel bath with a subtle aroma of wine, offering a deeper level of relaxation.

About the Natural Environment

Our property is located in the richly natural Kitakaruizawa area. As a result, insects (such as ants, mantises, centipedes), spiders, and wild animals (such as boars, masked palm civets, monkeys, snakes, and geckos) may be present around the property year-round.

If you encounter any wild animals, please do not approach or startle them with loud noises.

We conduct thorough inspections during cleaning and implement regular pest control, but due to the surrounding natural environment, it is not possible to completely prevent insects from entering.

We kindly ask for your understanding and acceptance of these conditions as part of the unique experience of staying in nature.

If you are particularly sensitive to insects, please consider this carefully before booking.
